Hourya Bentouhami (Lecturer in Philosophy, Univ., Jean Jaurès, Toulouse): as a specialist in civil disobedience and non-violence, critical race theory, and critical feminist theory, Hourya works on conflict in democracy and on individual and collective relationships to the norm (notably on the forms of ordinary disobedience that Michel Foucault called ‘counter-conduct’), with particular attention to the processes of ethnicisation of national identities and the production of social difference endorsed by law or legal norms and bureaucratic regulations.
